Tess comes to life!

Since I am a living history performer, I decided to take that ability and present
Tess in a program as an introduction to my book. I’m struggling deciding how far into Tess’s story should I go to get people interested in buying my book.  If anyone who reads this has an idea let me know.

A friend suggested I include a little information about my own spiritual journey in my introduction of Tess.  Did my journey influence how I wrote the story of Tess. To be honest with you, I never considered my journey to be connected with Tess and my other characters, but I’m finding out it did.  Those who know me well have told me they see Sara in me. I suppose I am a little too syrupy at times. Tess on the other hand, is a free spirit. Writing her gave me an opportunity to be bold and out spoken. I loved that.  I admit there are parts of my story that reflect my own thoughts about Christianity. I send a challenge out to my readers; how would you tell a non-Christian about God?

  1. If you believe in Love and forgiveness, then that is what God is all about. You don’t have to go find him, you only have to open your mind and heart.
