First program portraying Tess was a success!

I had the opportunity to give a program at my sister’s church portraying Tess. After 10 minutes of being Tess, I talked about how my own life’s spiritual journey was reflected in the characters I created in my book. That became clear to me when I was editing my book.  I created Tess as a non-believer in Christianity. I never thought much about why until I noticed it reflected my own early years of hearing about God and his son Jesus.

Fast forward to where I am now. I am turning 76 tomorrow. Even now, I sometimes struggle with wondering what God wants of me at this age. He wants us to be in a relationship with him at any age. I feel closer to God now more than ever. I see the scriptures clearer. One reason is I’ve lived through many life experiences that the writers of the Bible were writing about. How could I have truly felt losing a parent or living through an illness, if I hadn’t lived through it myself. It takes more than reading the Bible to know the Bible. Life is filled with learning experiences. My life is still being written.  I’m allowing God to keep me guessing on what happens next! On to year 76! God’s blessings to all of you!

  1. Very good reflection of who you really are. You have been brought up in believing and it’s healthy to question because that’s how we all learn. We never get to old to learn what God has in store for us.

    • Thanks Shirley for taking the time to read one of my blogs! I’m continuing to listen to what God might be wanting me to do. If just something as simple as telling who I am as a Christian, then that’s what I’m doing!
