Who I am and where I’m going.

I want to start writing about who I am as a Christian. I became reborn as most of you know that phrase, when I was 10 years old. It happened when my father a minister, was the guest evangelist for a two-week revival. This took place in a one room church in the hills of Kentucky. The year was 1957. Yes, I’m that old. It doesn’t matter how old I was or how old I am now, it’s the experiences I’ve lived that make me who I am spiritually. Each of you have your own story to tell. That goes along with the title of one of my favorite songs, I’ve a Story to Tell to the Nations. I’m talking about Jesus. Sometimes I don’t tell my story because I don’t want to offend anyone – and also because of the way I witness.  I attempt to live the Christian life through my actions. Sometimes I do great and many times I think I fail . . . but maybe not. I like to think of myself as planting seeds in hopes that God will be able to do something wonderful with what I planted. Writing my book They Call Me Tess, revealed so much about my spiritual journey. I didn’t see it until I read my story over and over again. Each time I read it for editing purposes, I realized I had lived or felt what my characters were experiencing. I’m going to continue sharing those early years as a new Christian. Looking back has helped me look forward to what God has in store for me next!
