Easter brings back memories for me.

I was blessed to celebrated Easter yesterday with my family. Reading my devotional this morning triggered a memory of an Easter many years ago. I was 10 years old and had just been through what was referred to at that time, a conversion. Basically, I was saved. The next step was to become a member of a Methodist church. My conversion took place on a Friday night and the upcoming Sunday to become a member, happened to be Easter. A lot to understand from the perspective of a 10-year-old.

I couldn’t help thinking about Tess and her journey into understanding the many ways of Christianity. In my book, Tess experiences her first Advent season. In only three months, she went from being a huge non-believer in God and Jesus to a struggling believer. It appears my spiritual journey and Tess’s seem to have crossed paths.

Someone asked me what happens to Tess and her son Jonathan after my story ends on Christmas. I tell them they’ll have to wait and read my next book! The sequel is in the making.
