Tess’s search as a new believer in Christ

Tess continues to search for answers as a new believer in God and Jesus Christ. Where would you look if you were new to the Christian life? When I was writing They Call Me Tess, I challenged myself to see Christianity through the eyes of a newcomer. I had been born into a Christian family and continue that life. Tess only knew about Christianity from what she’d heard or experienced in her early life. Throughout Tess’s story, she struggled with the idea that there was a God who loved her and forgave her of all the terrible things she had done.

Tess has come a long way since that fateful day she was found by Sara Richardson. In writing Tess’s story I found out more about my own Christian beliefs. Thinking about and even dissecting those beliefs kept me moving forward to complete my story about Tess. How about all of you who might read my blogs – what do you believe?
